Sep 21 2014 11:10pm CDT | Source: RealGM Basketball Wiretap

Reggie Jackson is monitoring the contract situation of Eric Bledsoe, who remains a restricted free agent. Jackson is eligible for a contract extension and could become a restricted free agent himself next summer if he is unable to agree upon a deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder. DeAndre Jordan's 2014-15 Campaign Will Determine Los Angeles Clippers' Direction

Sep 18 2014 4:31pm CDT | Source: Bleacher Report

The Los Angeles Clippers are ready to go as far as DeAndre Jordan can take them. Sure, there are other pieces to the puzzle, but this franchise's fate—both for the 2014-15 campaign and beyond—is strongly tied to Jordan's ability to protect the paint, clean the glass and provide some type of positive at the offensive end. He is the defensive complement to the offensive wizardry of superstars Chris Paul ...

Q+A: Elfrid Payton

Sep 18 2014 1:47pm CDT | Source: slamonline

Newly signed Suns lead guard Isaiah Thomas made the trek to put some work in, as did Orlando Magic rookie point guard Elfrid Payton. We watched him train for the NBA Draft back in early May in L.A., when he was projected as a late first-round pick. We caught bac ...

How Kyrie Irving Can Become the Best Point Guard in the NBA

Sep 18 2014 1:18pm CDT | Source: Bleacher Report

Months into life as LeBron James' teammate, Kyrie Irving has already learned a valuable lesson: The King giveth, and the King taketh away. Returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers was, at the time, indicative of the selflessness James didn't espouse in 2010. He left the title-toting—albeit aging—Miami Heat for the young and adrift Cavaliers. In one concise, tell-all essay in Sports Illustrated, James liberated himself from t ...

Steve Nash's Final Ride Shows NBA Titles Are Not All That Matter

Sep 17 2014 1:29pm CDT | Source: Bleacher Report

Rings aren't everything. Just ask the 40-year-old Steve Nash. Championships have long been used to measure collective and individual NBA greatness. They represent, by definition, the ultimate form of distinction, and the impact they have on player and team legacies is enormous. Over time, they have diminished in significance to the extent that they're not deathblows to reputations. Advanced analytics—along with other forms of commend ...

LeBron James Thinks Kyrie Irving Can Be the Best Point Guard in the NBA

Sep 17 2014 9:02am CDT | Source: Bleacher Report

LeBron James had his reasons for spurning the Miami Heat and returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers. One of them was Kyrie Irving. While at a Nike event to unveil his new shoe, the LeBron 12, James celebrated his new teammate, offering praise that's bound to make Chris Paul and Stephen Curry cackle or cringe, per Slam Magazine: Irving is rarely referenced in such high regard, given his inability to rescue the James-less Cavaliers from obscuri ...

Which Los Angeles Clippers Player Has the Most Upside Right Now?

Sep 16 2014 9:01pm CDT | Source: Bleacher Report

Upside is often a term thrown around to describe young players who have either accomplished nothing or have yet to scratch the surface of what they might become. This term typically is not reserved for someone of Blake Griffin’s caliber. But perhaps it should be. Although Griffin missed his entire first season due to injury, he exploded out of the gates as a rookie, scoring 22.5 points per game to go along with 12.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists. He was as ...
