Tehran, Feb 21 (IANS) Russia claimed the Greco-Roman title at the Wrestling World Cup meet here, local media reported Thursday.

Tehran, Feb 21 — Russia claimed the Greco-Roman title at the Wrestling World Cup meet here, local media reported Thursday.

In the competitions held at Tehran's Azadi Sports Complex on Wednesday, Russia defeated Iran 5-2 in the gold medal match, Tehran Times reported.

In the bronze medal match, Turkey beat Armenia 6-1.

The World Cup 2013 freestyle tournament will be held here Thursday and Friday.
