NFL Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders is now officially divorced from his wilfe Pilar.

This was confirmed by the Inquisitr.com, which says the divorce was made official on Friday after Sanders filed for it 18 months ago in a district court in Collin County in Texas.

However, the issue may not be over yet. The Inquisitr cited the Dallas News when it says "Pilar's attorney, Larry Friedman, said District Judge Ray Wheless severed multiple tort claims submitted by Pilar Sanders into a separate case that will be heard by a jury. The allegations range from fraud and breach of fiduciary duty to mental distress and physical abuse."

Nonetheless, Sanders announced on Twitter that his prenuptial agreement has stood up and that he also won custody of his children.

"Thank God Thank God! This 2 year Drama filled divorce is over. Prenup stood, Custody of All kids, pay yo own fees! God is faithful! Truth"

The Dallas News' Valerie Wigglesworth confirms couple's three children will stay with Sanders while Pilar gets visitation rights. Sanders also gets to keep their mansion in Prosper while his ex-wife is responsible for her own legal fees.

At the time of the divorce filing, Sanders felt his wife's fame had become too much for him to bear.

"Enough is enough. I never signed up for all of this. Enough is enough. If I wanted a model or television star, I would have married one long ago. All I wanted was a housewife."

Sanders is an eight-time Pro Bowlerand six-time First-Team All-Pro in the NFL. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
