A judge in Charlotte, N.C. ordered Flair to be arrested for allegedly failing to pay over $32,000 in spousal support, per the Charlotte Observer's Cleve R. Wootson, Jr. Flair, whose real name is Richard Fliehr, was ordered to pay $4,000 monthly to his estranged wife Jaqueline Beems to support her car payment, health insurance and legal fees. Beems filed for legal separation last summer.
Court documents show Flair didn't pay a sum of $32,352.51 which is owed Beems. Wootson notes the famous ex-wrestler, who said he'll pay Breems on Wednesday, can avoid jail time if he covers the entire amount.
"He would purge himself of having to go to jail if he would pay the check, if he would pay in full the total amount he owes, up to date."
"The reason I didn't pay my ex-wife the 32 grand is because my son died and I was in the hospital for a month. I was in the hospital for a month with a blood clot. I didn't go to work for three months."
It also seems Beems is facing legal troubles of her own.
Peter Gicas of E! Online writes Beems was charged on July 16 for making harassing phone calls to Flair's girlfriend, Wendy Barlow Kidder. Brees was eventually released on a $500 unsecured bond.
"There doesn't have to be any police involvement. There doesn't have to be any proof."
Flair and Beems got married in November 2009. Just three months afterward, Beems was charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly attacking Flair, who said it had all been a misunderstanding and that Beems was innocent.
