Former Tennessee Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck was arrested and charged with robbery on Sunday.

Bulluck was released on a $10,000 bond roughly an hour following his arrest. He was taken into police custody mere hours after wrapping up a Tennessee Titans preseason game broadcast, per The Tennesseean.

According to USA Today Sports, he was in custody for two and a half hours before he was released at past 6 a.m.

He insisted that the incident was all a misunderstanding. However, the cab driver who figured in the incident with Bulluck, Habib Hashi, says otherwise. He will press charges against the former NFL star.

Bulluck narrated the details of what transpired early Sunday morning.

"I was out with friends last night in Nashville and was taking a cab home. There was a misunderstanding between me and the cab driver about getting my money back for a service not rendered. At 2 a.m., things could easily get lost in translation, but regardless of who was right or wrong, I regret putting myself in that situation."

In an ESPN account of what happened, the 40-year-old Hashi was outside a bar waiting for a paid fare when Bulluck came up to him. An alterncation ensued which ended with Bulluck taking a $100 bill and then fleeing, per a Nashville Police Department statement.

Hashi then took authorities to a nearby parking lot, where they found Bulluck with two $100 bills and was subsequently arrested. Police kept the other $100 bill as evidence.

Police also noted Hashi's torn shirt and undershirt as well as Bulluck's smell of alcohol.

Current Titans head coach Mike Munchak, who was the offensive line coach during Bulluck's playing days, remains confident the issue will eventually be sorted out

"He was a great football player, great guy, a leader in the locker room. He showed up every day and worked hard, had a great career. When he was here playing as a football player, he made good decisions. I'll wait to hear the information, as to what happened, but I am sure it will all get worked out and I am sure it is something he is very innocent in, I hope."

When asked to comment about the incident following his release, Bulluck wasn't very pleased. He said,"I've been here for 10 years and this is what you want to talk about?"

Bulluck, who retired in 2012, concluded his NFL career with 1,088 tackles, 18 sacks and 21 interceptions in 170 games played, per ESPN stats.
