Free-agent forward Lamar Odom is not missing, contrary to earlier reports that he was.

According to ESPN Los Angeles, Odom is holed up in a local hotel "where friends are trying to get him help for an unspecified drug problem." His agent Jeff Schwartz told ESPN's Marc Stein that "Lamar is not missing. His wife knows exactly where he is."

Schwartz also made it clear that "Playing in the NBA is still very much a part of Lamar's plans."

The Huffington Post, which featured an ESPN tweet saying Odom is in an L.A. hotel, confirmed from Odom and Khloe Kardashian's representatives that "he is not missing."

These updates put to rest an earlier TMZ report which says Odom had been missing for three days after his wife, Kardashian, threw him out of their house.

Kardashian herself blasted this on her Twitter account, saying it's "reallly hard to sit here and listen to people to talk s--- about my family! F--- you and shame on you!"

TMZ earlier reported that Odom had been battling drug problems for two years, citing sources with knowledge of the situation. It added he went through rehab last summer and remained drug-free in his tenure with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2012-13.

However, Odom was said to have used "hardcore recreational drugs" at the conclusion of the season, per the Huffington Post.

A source disclosed to People magazine that Kardashian has struggled to save her marriage to Odom for two years.

"It's a really hard time for Khloe. She's kept this secret for almost two years trying to save Lamar and their marriage."

The 33-year-old Odom is entering his 15th NBA season and has career averages of 13.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists. He has two NBA championship rings with the Los Angeles Lakers who won back-to-back titles in 2009 and 2010.
