Oklahoma City Thunder shooting guard DeAndre Liggins was arrested on Saturday.

According to Oklahoma City's KOCO.com, Liggins was taken into police custody "on suspicion of domestic abuse with a deadly weapon and domestic assault in the presence of a minor."

Police were called to the scene near Northwest 180th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. A NewsOK.com report also adds the victim is believed to be Liggins' girlfriend, although Lt. Arthur Gregory said he's unsure whose child was at the scene.

"From what I understand it was a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. And I don't know who the child was, if it was theirs, hers or his."

The Thunder also released a statement following Liggins' arrest

"We are aware of the situation and take this matter seriously. We are in the process of gathering more information and have no further comment at this time."

Liggins is currently detained at the Oklahoma County jail on an $8,000 bond, per CNN.

The 25-year-old Liggins saw minimal action with the Thunder in the 2012-13 NBA season playing behind Thabo Sefolosha and former Oklahoma City guard Kevin Martin.

The 2011 second-round draft pick of the Orlando Magic out of the University of Kentucky posted averages of 1.5 points and 1.4 rebounds in 39 games last season.
