Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles threw for seven touchdowns in the Eagles' 49-20 win over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, tying an NFL record.

Foles matched Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning's seven touchdown passes on Opening Day against the defending Super Bowl champions Baltimore Ravens o Sept .6. Foles' last touchdown pass of the game -- a five-yard pass to Riley Cooper -- came with 4:28 left in the third quarter.

All in all, the Eagles' second-year quarterback went 22 of 28 for 406 yards. He also tied an Eagles team record which was first set by Adrian Burk against the Washington Redskins in 1954.

What's even more remarkable is that Foles joins Manning and former New York Giants quarterback Y.A. Tittle as the only men to pull off the feat without throwing a single interception.

Most of Foles' throws were to Cooper, who, by virtue of his quarterback's historic feat, enjoyed a career day of his own with three touchdown receptions for 139 yards. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson also had a great day, finishing with one touchdown courtesy of Foles and 150 yards.

The other Eagles who caught Foles' touchdown passes were LeSean McCoy, Zach Ertz and Brent Celek.

Foles' re-writing of the record books happens a week after he missed last week's game against the New York Giants after he sustained a concussion a week before against another NFC East rival, the Dallas Cowboys.

In that game, was just 11 of 29 for 80 yards, a sharp contrast to his performance against the Raiders.

Foles didn't get a chance to throw for an eighth touchdown pass as he was replaced by Matt Barkley in the fourth quarter.
