The Alabama Crimson Tide retained their top spot in the Nov. 17 BCS Standings. The top three remained unchanged from the previous week with the Florida State Seminoles and Ohio State Buckeyes in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. respectively. The Oklahoma State Cowboys were the week's biggest movers, catapulting to the 10th spot after being ranked 18th last week.

The Alabama Crimson Tide are still on top of the BCS Standings as of Nov. 17.

Meanwhile, the Florida State Seminoles retained their No. 2-ranking with the Ohio State Buckeyes and Baylor Bears right behind them. According to Ralph D. Russo of the Associated Press, "The Bears and Buckeyes have little hope of catching first-place Alabama or second-place Florida State in the race to the BCS championship game without a loss from one of the top two. Ohio State and Baylor are fighting for the right to be next in line if the Tide or 'Noles slip up."

If Baylor ever hopes to surpass No.3 Ohio State, it has to beat the 10th-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys, who are this weeks biggest jumpers (from No. 18 last week). The Cowboys are currently one game behind the Bears in the Big 12 standings.

The Buckeyes seem to have the easier schedule down the stretch as they will face two unranked Big Ten opponents - the Indiana Hoosiers and Michigan Wolverines -- in the next two weeks. Russo notes Ohio State will make it to the Big 10 Championship game outright with a win over Indiana.

Here are the complete BCS Standings for Nov. 17, 2013, per ESPN:

1.  Alabama

2.  Florida State

3.  Ohio State

4.  Baylor

5.  Oregon

6.  Auburn

7.  Clemson

8.  Missouri

9.  Stanford

10. Oklahoma State

11. South Carolina

12. Texas A&M

13. Michigan State

14. UCLA

15. Fresno State

16. Northern Illinois

17. Arizona State

18. UCF

19. Wisconsin

20. Oklahoma

21. Louisville

22. LSU

23. USC

24. Ole Miss

25. Minnesota

Graham Watson of Yahoo! Sports also pointed out the other noteworthy developments in this week's BCS Standings in his Nov. 18 article

-- The USC Trojans (No. 23) made the BCS Standings for the first time in the 2013 NCAA season after they beat the Standord Cardinal 20-17 last Saturday.

-- "Fresno State remains the top non-AQ team in the standings at No. 15," per Watson. Should the Bulldogs remain ranked ahead of the No. 16 Northern Illinois Huskies, they should be in good shape for a BCS bowl bid.

-- With the Texas A&M Aggies at No. 12, a BCS bowl with quarterback Johnny Manziel in the fray should be fun to watch.

This week should be another entertaining week of college football, with the stakes becoming higher than ever.
