Dash From The Past partners with an amazing charity for its Fort Lauderdale 5K.

Fort Lauderdale, FL, February 25, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Dash From The Past is set for March 22nd in South Florida. The race will be held at Markham Park at 8AM. Dash From The Past is a unique 5k in which racers dress up from any era in the past to run. Dash From The Past is not a timed race it is a 5k fun run/walk that promotes a healthy way for friends and family to have a good time and to support local charities.

Dash From The Past is thrilled to announce that A Prom To Remember (www.aPromToRemember.org) will be their 2014 charitable partner. The Unforgettable Prom Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 charity DBA “A Prom to Remember” which provides the ultimate high school prom experience for kids ages 12-19 who were unable to attend their own proms due to their battles with cancer. Started in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. in 2009 with a Cleveland chapter started in 2010, the organization raises funds throughout the year for its annual prom event. You can support A Prom To Remember by registering for Dash From The Past as A Prom To Remember Dasher. Dasher registration will include a $25.00 donation to A Prom To Remember and special Dasher incentives.

"Giving back to the community and finding a way to support charitable organizations through Dash From The Past was very important to me," says Matt Tremellen, Founder/CEO of Dash From The Past. "I really believe in the mission of A Prom To Remember and think they are the perfect nonprofit partner." A Prom To Remember will also be hosting an information table the day of the Dash to thank their Dashers and to answer any questions about the organization.

After the race there is definitely an after party. Rock With U Entertainment's super star DJ Dean Michaels will be bringing the party to the finish line so be prepared to have a good time and shake a tail feather after the race. You should also bring your appetite as there will be a food truck rally storming in as well. The food truck rally will be hosted by South Florida's top restaurants on wheels. Early registration is encouraged as races tend to sell out quickly. Discounted early bird pre-registration is available online at www.dashfromthepast.com. Dash From The Past is a fun family friendly event so be prepared to have the time of your life.
