Hulk Hogan is at the center of a new scandal. It is not completely known what it is, but there are huge signs.
The WWE site has completely removed all references to Hulk Hogan. The legendary wrestler has also been scrubbed from the WWE merchandise shop.
Hogan is also not listed anymore as one of the judges on the WWE TV show Tough Enough.
There is no explanation from the WWE yet on why they removed Hulk Hogan.
Hulk Hogan speaks out about the scandal. In an exclusive statement to People he apologizes for what he said 8 years ago. He said: “Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation. It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it.”
The WWE issued a statement sent to US Weekly: “WWE terminated its contract with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan). WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.”
The WWE statement is not specific, but indirectly says that the reason is racism.
The reality TV star has posted a cryptic Tweet that appears to be related to his mysterious disappearance from the wrestling organizations properties.
He wrote: “In the storm I release control,God and his Universe will sail me where he wants me to be,one love. HH”

The speculations why this is happening is pointing to a 2012 radio interview that had Hogan on DJ Whoo Kid’s radio show Whoolywood Shuffle on Sirius XM hip-hop channel Shade 45 reports the DailyBeast.
This is though likely not the reason. It is a controversial back and forth about the N-word, but appears not to be a strong enough reason for the WWE to distance themselves from Hogan.
The interviewer, DJ Whoo Kid just tweeted: “Nothing racist about that @HulkHogan 2012 interview I did. He was just explaining the usage of the Nword amongst his rapper friends and WWF.”

MediaOutTake reports that there is another interview that is getting Hogan in trouble. The tape has supposedly surfaced in the on going legal fight between Gawker and Hogan.
It is widely expected that the mystery will be unravelled later today.
