A United States Marine from Southern New Jersey got the answer of a lifetime when MMA superstar Ronda Rousey saw a video that went viral. In that video, he asked the fighter if she would accompany him to a ball. See the video:
Rousey on Tuesday accepted Stirling High School graduate Jarrod Haschet’s invitation to be his date at a Marine Corps ball in December. This was quite a few days after Haschet’s plea went viral. The 22 year old said that Ronda has been his celebrity crush for quite some time. Before her response, the video was viewed nearly 5 million times – and that number has only grown since her response.
Rousey told TMZ.com she’s free because her next fight was moved to November, not December. The ball itself isn’t until December 8th, and Ronda also suggested that the Marine bring along some of his single friends because she will want to bring some of her girlfriends with so she doesn’t feel awkward. Rousey has famously said that she doesn’t really like dating all that much.
She also warned that she’s “not a first date kind of girl.” She does say that she thinks that the Marine is cute.
The catch? The fighter has no idea how to get into contact with him! Rousey seemed particularly confused: “Do I call him? Or do I set up a time and place like Never Been Kissed and wait until the clock runs out and be like, ‘I’m here!’”
