The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition 2016 will feature Ronda Rousey wearing only body paint. The MMA fighter who got knocked out by Holly Holmes in November makes a perfect figure on the beach in a painted on swimsuit.
Ronda Rousey said on Instagram: “I was one of the lucky few chosen to be a canvas for a hand painted masterpiece by Joanne Gair that took 14 hours to put on and photographed by the brilliant Frederic Pinet.”
The behind the scene snap above does not reveal that the swimsuit is just paint. SI’s editor MJ Day, responsible for the Swimsuit Edition 2016, posted a close-up of Ronday Rousey’s backside that proofs that Ronda Rousey is naked, just covered by an elaborate swimsuit painting.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition 2016 will be on newsstands in February. There will be again a huge digital version of the Swimsuit Edition 2016 featuring vast photo and video galleries of the world’s hottest models wearing the new swimsuits for 2016.
Last year model Hannah Davis was the 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model. Besides the surprise pick of Hannah Davis as cover model, the Swim 2015 edition was featuring plus size models for the first time.
Since debuting in 1964 Swimsuit has become a pop-culture phenomenon and an established launching pad for successful careers in TV, fashion, business and film including those of Kathy Ireland, Cheryl Tiegs, Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit franchise reaches more than 70 million people per year.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition 2016 will be released around February 9, 2016.
