The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition 2016 will be on newsstands on Monday, Feb. 15. Fans will be able to chose between three different covers. For the first time in its 52 year history, the legendary Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition will have three individual cover models. SI announced the three models last night at a special TV show on TNT.
The three models could not be any more different from each other. Ronda Rousey, Ashley Graham and Hailey Clauson are each featured in their own cover for the 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition.
UFC fighter Ronda Rousey only wears body paint on the SI Swimsuit cover. Plus-sized model Ashley Graham is breaking new grounds as cover model for Sports Illustrated. 20-year-old California beach girl Hailey Clauson represents the typical Swimsuit model. Her cover takes it up a notch with going topless.
“Every single woman that is booked for this magazine is cover worthy,” explained Assistant Managing Editor MJ Day. “The collective beauty in the magazine is overwhelming. SI has always been and will always be about the models; the pictures you see here are a celebration of them. The three covers of Hailey, Ronda and Ashley celebrate the new SI Swimsuit. All three women are beautiful, sexy and strong. Beauty is not cookie cutter. Beauty is not ‘one size fits all.’ Beauty is all around us and that became especially obvious to me while shooting and editing this year’s issue.”
Watch below the reveal of the three Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover models. All three women have not known that they are going to be on the cover. Their reaction is everything.
The 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue hits newsstands this Monday, Feb. 15. As far as we understand there will be three different print magazines. To own all covers, fans need to get three magazines.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2016 Edition website featuring videos and photo galleries is launching 9 a.m. ET.
