China is on top of the Olympic Medal Count, with the USA right behind.

It is Day 6 at the Summer Olympics 2012 in London. Let's take another look at the Olympic 2012 medal count. China is still in the lead with 30 medals comprised of 17 gold, 9 sliver and 4 bronze medals. The United States has now one less medal overall and only 12 gold medals. It looks like the United States and China are going to battle it out for the win. Korea is now on the third spot with 12 medals.

US swimmer Allison Schmitt is leading the individual medal count with 2 gold medals, 1 silver and 1 bronze.

This week the medal count will start to become more telling as tons of events are scheduled. Check out the latest trending Olympic news on Sport Balla
