Michael Schumacher ends Formula One Carrier Again

Oct 4 2012, 3:51am CDT | by

Formula One legend Michael Schumacher announced the end of his Formula one comeback.

Michael Schumacher announced today the end of his Formula One carrier. This is the second time the record champion says good-bye to Formula One racing, but this time it is for good. The news comes on the heels of the announcement by Mercedes to replace Schumacher with Lewis Hamilton next season.

Michael Schumacher posted on his web-site a retirement statement. Quote: ""I have decided to retire from Formula 1 at the end of the season, although I am still able to compete with the best drivers of the world. This is something that makes me proud, and this is part of why I never regretted my Comeback. I can be happy with my performance and the fact that I was continuously raising my game during the last three years. But then, at some point it is time to say Good-Bye."

Good-bye Schumi!

The popularity of helmet cameras has soared in the past couple of years, but a high-profile accident has put their safety in the spotlight. Are cameras a dangerous addition to a crash hat? In a shock decision by British Eventing (BE) last week (Friday 17 October), the organisation decided that all cameras on helmets would be banned until further checks on their safety could be carried out. A snowball reaction ensued, with other events across the world quickly following suit, including the Worl ...

Yet Another Quirk Involving the Mets Logo

Oct 15 2014 6:22am CDT | Source: uni watch

It’s been an interesting year for the Mets’ skyline logo. Back in January, uniform designer/historian Todd Radom discovered that the logo had originally been rendered in pink and black. Six months later he figured out why it had been pink and black. And then last month we had that kerfuffle about one of the buildings in the skyline being replaced by the Citicorp Center. But now reader Steve Dodell (who was the first to ...
